How to Fix SEO Issues in Your Lovable App
Search engine optimization might sound technical, but for Lovable apps it boils down to a few key things: can Google find your pages, can it read your content, and does your page tell Google what it's about? Most Lovable apps start with decent SEO, but as you add pages and features, things can slip — missing titles, duplicate headings, broken canonical URLs, or blocked crawlers.
Run the SEO audit above
Enter your URL and select a crawler (Googlebot is a good default). The tool fetches your page exactly as that crawler would, runs 17 checks, and gives you an SEO score, visibility score, and OG completeness score.
Fix the failing checks first
The 'Potential Issues' section shows what's broken. Common Lovable app issues include missing canonical URLs, missing meta descriptions, and low image alt coverage. Each failing check tells you exactly what's wrong.
Copy the fix prompt
Click 'Copy Fix Prompt' to get a ready-made prompt that lists every issue and the exact fix. The prompt is specific to your page — it includes the right values, not generic placeholders.
Paste into Lovable and verify
Paste the prompt into your Lovable project. After Lovable applies the fixes, come back and run the audit again to verify your score improved. Aim for 80+ on all three scores.
Example prompt to paste into Lovable:
Fix the following SEO issues on my app: - Add <link rel="canonical" href="https://myapp.com/"> - Add <meta name="description" content="A clear, compelling description of my app in 120-160 characters."> - Add alt text to all <img> tags that are missing it - Ensure there is exactly one <h1> heading on the page - Add <meta property="og:image" content="https://myapp.com/og-image.png"> - Add <meta name="twitter:card" content="summary_large_image"> Apply all changes inside the <head> element. Make sure each tag appears exactly once.
SEO is not a one-time task — run this audit every time you ship a new page or make significant content changes. The goal is to make sure every page on your Lovable app is discoverable by both search engines and AI assistants like ChatGPT and Perplexity.
